The expanded area of coverage consists of roofing materials complying with both the Energy Star label requirements & have emissivity of at least 0.9 as tested per ASTM E408-71.
Single-threshold credits generally require doubling in order to achieve an innovation point. Not enough benefit would be achieved by your proposal, especially in the northern U.S. climate. The only opportunity for exemplary performance credit within SSc7.2 is by installing an entirely vegetated roof (excluding features such as parapets, mechanical equipment, solar panels, and sky lights).
