In reference to the IAQ test that tests conformity of the smoking room, have there been any LEED certified buildings that have passed this test and if yes, what special measures did they use to ensure conformity. Also, would having a raised floor in the smoking room replace having to perform the IAQ test in the same manner as this permitted for IAQ CR 2?
Several buildings have successfully verified the performance of a designated smoking room via the ASHRAE 129-97 Tracer Gas Test per the requirements set forth in EQp2. Please refer to the EQp2 CIR dated 12-3-03 for more information on compliance testing methodology. Raised floor ventilation systems do not alleviate the smoking room performance verification requirement. Applicable internationally.
