The University of Denver College of Law plans to provide electric recharging stations for alternative electric vehicles. The intention is to use standard exterior (proper voltage, 208-240V)electrical outlets suitable for recharging according to discussions with Electric Vehicles Infrastructure, Inc. Will this approach meet the intent of SS Credit 4.3?
The proposed approach should meet the intent and requirements of SS Credit 4.3 as long as the electrical outlets installed meet the requirements of the electric vehicles being considered for the project, are sufficiently adjacent to marked parking spaces, and satisfy the 3% of the total vehicle parking capacity. In addition to the drawings and specifications, product cut sheets should also be included to demonstrate the details of this technology and how it complies with the credit criteria. Keep in mind that in a previous credit inquiry ruling (0213-SSc43-101201), it was established that "Electric recharging stations need not require their associated parking space dedicated to alternative fuel vehicles to earn this point."Applicable internationally.
