This is an administrative ruling, posted by USGBC, to clarify the use of the EA Credit 1 point achievement interpolation table that was published in the first edition of the LEED-NC Reference Guide for v2.0, and was amended to correct an error and to include equivalency tables for California Title 24.
The Reference Guide for LEED-NC Version 2.0 provided a point interpolation table on page 133. The table was corrected, and California Title 24 equivalency tables added, via amendment LEED-NC2.0-EAc1-133 which was subsequently absent from the Web site during debate about its variance from the ballot-approved credit requirements (splitting the difference between the performance thresholds). The Version 2.1 Reference Guide does not contain the interpolation table. For administrative consistency, the LEED Steering Committee has determined (previous to this CIR) that the corrected v2.0 interpolation table will be used for v2.0 AND v2.1 project certifications. The amendment is now available on the LEED-NC section of www.leedbuilding.org and directly from https://www.usgbc.org/Docs/LEEDdocs/Amendment_LEED-NC2%200-EAc1-133%20PD.... This decision renders the August 2002 version of the tables invalid (Note: projects using that version are safely in their targeted point range, and may even quality for an additional point). Applicable internationally.
