We would like to confirm whether we would be eligible for this pre-requisite, if we specify R407C as a refrigerant for our buildin?s HVAC system. We went through the LEEDs manual (Table 1 of page 115), where it is not listed, but R407C is listed in USEPA website www.epa.gov/ozone/title6/snap. Recommended by USGBC in the LEED manual.
R407c is a blend of 3 different HFCs, and is an EPA recommended substitute for HCFC refrigerants. Use of R407c in the project HVAC system will meet the requirements of EA Prerequisite 3 and EA credit 4. Applicable internationally.
