How strict is the 3rd party commissioning agent rule? My engineer has provided this service on other Pima projects and the owner wants to include this in the existing contract administration fee for the mechanical engineer. Will this dis-qualify us for this pre-requisite? See attached notes held by Paladino Consulting.
Ruling
Third party commissioning is recommended but not required. To capture this credit a commissioning report must be submitted at the end of the process. Please see the USGBC Sub-Committee paper which addresses this topic. Applicable internationally.
