What is the applicability of the upcoming revision, ASHRAE 90.1-R to a project currently in the design stage, and how does it apply to credits? For example: If a project applies for building permit prior to the new revision being enacted, the credits would be based on the previous ASHRAE standard. At what stage of the design process will LEED rule a project must fall under the older or newer version?
Ruling
The project must comply with the ASHRAE standard in force at the time the project is REGISTERED. This is the intake date for the project, not the date that the Certification form is submitted. These adminstrative rules are being further developed during the Pilot Phase.
