The area of the pool itself should be considered impermeable, because pools are generally covered during periods of rain. The pool deck must also be included in the calculation; if the deck meets the requirements of the credit (e.g., made of permeable paving with porous subbase, or directed towards an infiltration feature), the area can be counted towards this credit.
