Projects in areas of the country that have a risk of flying termites (e.g., Formosan) can earn 0.5 point under ID 3 for exemplary performance of SS 5, part (e-i) for treating all cellulosic material with a borate product. This includes the southeastern part of the U.S., specifically projects in FL, AL, MS, GA, SC, NC, LA, and eastern TX. Projects in other areas can submit a project-specific ID request, but they must provide evidence that there is a threat of Formosan or other flying termites in the project's region.
