Greetings,
Regarding Renewable Energy Production for LEED certification and also for LEED Zero certification, there is an issue which is kind of not clear to me.
It is related to pellet burning boiler.
If the heating of the building is provided by a pellet burning boiler and the pellets are purchased offside, the questions are:
- What kind of pellets are excluded as a renewable fuel?
- When the pallets are purchased from a producer outside of the project boundary, how this renewable energy is to be classified – off-side or on-side, meaning that the boiler is on-site?
Your opinion and advises are highly appreciated.
Thanks

Question should be submitted under the Renewable Energy credit.
