Airport project requirements

Dear All,

 

we’re currently working on a project of an expansion to an existing airport that intends to be LEED Certified. In what relates with acoustic performance requirements, on a project for an airport, which has some atypical occupied spaces including Departure and Arrivals areas:

  1. the acoustic performance requirements are applicable to a project of this type?
  2. which should be the room type considered for maximum background noise levels considering on 2011 ASHRAE Handbook, HVAC Applications, Chapter 48, for instances in departures and arrivals areas?
