Survey conducted before performance period

Is it possible to have the survey conducted before even starting the performance period.
I understand from the credit language that there must be there a survey every 5 years, regardless when the performance period is, is this correct?

Hi Omar - yes, a survey is required at least once every 5 years. If this is your initial certification, you can extend the performance period for this credit back in time up to 2 years, so that it includes the survey. USGBC may also offer project-specific pathways for using older surveys if you're prevented from completing one due to COVID.
