Hello fellow SD leaders,
This is a quick note to re-introduce myself to this group. I am a lapsed member from the original tribe of 2008 who has found my way back on a trail of bread crumbs left by Nadav (thanks Nadav!). I'm just glad to be back amongst my people, sharing and learning from you all, as we help each other to get where we need to go faster and with more intelligence.
These days my focus has been on transitioning my firm, EHDD, and our practice from net zero energy design towards what we are calling Climate Positive design, focused on achieving true carbon neutrality in a ridiculously short time frame. But what choice do we have! Topics of particualar interest and expertise include: decarbonization through electrification; "Grid Optimal" design; mass timber; local carbon offset projects that address equity and carbon together.
Also of interest may be a tool that we are developing in-house at EHDD that we intend to roll out to the public in the coming months (hopefully not years). Here is a introduction to this tool that we've named EPIC.
One of my favorite traditions of this group in the past has been the Greenbuild "Cliff Notes" event that we would always do in person, with drinks in hand. I'll be sharing a 5-minute fly-through of my own Greenbuild session this time around, so look forward to seeing some of you then.
