The LEED guide in the perimeter area explanation section says: "Below-grade walls with areaways and walls that abut adjacent buildings are excluded". I have some questions about this statement as follows:
- Spaces within the perimeter area next to the below grade walls are excluded from the 75% requirement?
- May I exclude a section of the floor plate area from the minimum perimeter area calculation if it is adjacent to below grade walls? Which portion would I be able to extract?
