Automatic Daylighting Controls for Primary Sidelighted Areas in Core and Shell project

Dear All,

According to ASHRAE 90.1 section 9.4 mandatory requirement, the primary sidelighted area shall be separately controlled by at least one multilevel photocontrol, but in CS project, whereas the tenant often installs light fixtures when they come and do the fit-out, the base building (core and shell) can not install the multilevel photocontrol to meet the section 9.4. So my question is for the CS project, this requirement can be excepted or not. Of course, the tenant guideline will include this requirement for future tenants.

Please give me an advice, thank you very much!

I beleive if there is no such space within the scope of the core&shell works where it could be applicable, you don't need to worry about it. It's definitiley not mandatory for the tenant areas as it is a CS project.
