ICYMI, this washington post piece reminded me of our summit conversation last Friday about architecture's/SDL's role in reimagining the world post-covid through innovating our practice.
The article contains some compelling quotes from several visionary architects (fascinated that it's mostly big-A architects, largely bypassing input from the green building movement). I'd be interested to see what other statements, official or unofficial, have been shared by this group of firms - basically anything that speaks to the long-term 'opportunity' or 'urgency' of this moment. Would folks be willing to share and build our own catalog of ideas on this thread?
Also, in the process if anyone feels compelled to offer their smart critique of the milan building, that would be great - it has opened up a debate about formalism and biophilia in my office, and i think i'm losing. But to be fair, i don't know the building beyond the photographs.
