Non compliant SRI/SR

Dear Charalampos, I have a very similar question. In case of our project (option 1, equation 2) there is only one paving material tested. It has a slightly noncomliant SR value, however using the weighted area calculation, the form shows compliance. The other SR, SRI values are not known, form filled with 0. I would like to answer the project team if they can count on achieving this credit or not. Form shows compliace, but no strictly compliant materials are used. Do you have new information in this topic? Or anybody else? Thanks!

Materials with known SR/SRI values should be listed according to testing data or published manufacturer data. Typical SR values can be used for standard nonroof materials, in lieu of project-specific testing data, for materials listed in LI 10411 (those are standard white concrete, gray concrete, asphalt). Nonroof and roof materials that do not contribute to lowering the heat island may optionally be listed within the NonRoof Measures Table and Contributing High-Reflectance Roof Table but must be included in the total project paving area/total project roof area. I have included these unknown materials on past LEED v4 projects as value "0." Keep in mind that materials may contribute to the weighted area calculation even if they do not contribute to the standard area. In accordance with the LEEDonline form, compliance is demonstrated if the weighted sum of nonroof and roof measures is greater than or equal to the sum of project paving and roof area. So on the LEEDonline form you are comparing the Sum of project paving and roof area (sq ft) to the Weighted sum of nonroof and roof measures (sq ft).
