NC-v4 LTc6:Bicycle facilities

Position of the shower in the building

Dear all LEED users,

We have planned a shower in the building to meet LEED requirements fro this credit. However, this shower is located on the other side of the building from the main entrance and the storage of bikes. Does it still work? The distance between the main entrance and the shower is about 30m.

Hello Marion,  There is no indication in the LEED v4 Reference Guide that gives a specific vicinity distance of the shower to the main entrance. I have a project where the first floor is a community gathering space. We located the shower for the regular building occupants on the second floor closer to the secondary main entrance for the building occupants.  I hope this helps.  Yasha
