What would be the suggested way to evaluate the performance of a saw cut, or grooved stone, to consider it having "equivalent or better" performance to a metal grille, or other established solution as a walk off mat.  The intended maintenance would be sweeping and vacuuming the grooves of dirt and particles before mopping.
