We're working on a project with a big project site, and the nearest bus stop is more than 400m walking distance from some of the buildings. But there is a shuttle service within the compound that goes to every building within the site with an interval of 15 minutes for each trip. The main purpose of the shuttle service is to bring people to and from the entrance that is nearest to the bus stop.
Will we be able to earn this credit assuming that the number of bus trips on that bus stop satisfies the requirements?
Thanks in advance for any insights.

Hello Zirjay,
Did you ever get a resolution for this? Were you able to achieve the credit? We have a very similar situation.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Zirjay,
This credit cannot be able to earn using shuttle service.
Based on LEED guide (Access to Quality Transit), the requirement is to have bus stop within 400 m walking distances from any functional entry project. LEED also states
“Provide shuttle service between transit stops and/or commercial and residential centers. Although shuttles can help reduce parking demand, they cannot be used to earn LT Credit Access to Quality Transit.”

This is interesting scenario. LEED requires to locate functional entry of the project within 400m walking distance to transit stops. But per v4.1 language - "Privately-run shuttles are only acceptable for Path 1 if the service is also made available to the public". If you do v4.1 substitutions and shuttles are public, you can count shuttle trips for this credit.
However, LEED may not allow you to count bus trips from the bus stop. I would reach out to the LEED Coach to discuss this further as approach meets the intent of credit.

Project Type Variations
For government projects with security restrictions (e.g., military), on-site mass transit can be used to document credit compliance. Transit service outside secured entrances may contribute to credit compliance, provided it is within the required walking distance (based on mode type) of a stop along the on-site mass transit service.

Ahmed,
Can you please point us to where this is documented? I just learned about this from a colleague but I cannot find the official documentation to confirm this.
