Hi everyone,
I’d like to invite you to join this Friday’s webinar hosted by the Embodied Carbon Network: Using Whole Building LCA to Reduce Embodied Carbon within LEED and Beyond, and to follow up with a tool that I presented at this summer’s Architecture SDL summit, which ZGF has now upgraded and made free to the industry at large.
This webinar will outline how industry professionals have integrated WBLCA into projects, created a new tool for quickly optimizing embodied carbon reductions in concrete, and taken steps to further define a baseline building for projects pursuing LEED. Topics and speakers include:
• Raphael Sperry (Arup) - SD and CD stages of a WBLCA using Tally and pursuing the LEED credit.
• Anthony Pak (Priopta) - Office Building pursuing WBLCA LEED credit using One Click LCA
• Baha Sadreddin (ZGF) - Two large office building WBLCA case studies and concrete mix calculator.
• Victoria Herrero-Garcia (Ambient Energy) - Setting up the Baseline for Building enclosure and structure.
The webinar takes place this Friday, November 8th at 9am Pacific Time. Register via Zoom here.
ZGF’s Baha Sadreddin will talk about whole building LCA analysis for two large office building examples and share more about the development of a concrete LCA tool that optimizes concrete mix designs without the need of a WBLCA model. The tool is complementary to programs like EC3, and offers a few key advantages, including speed and minimal additional tools to assess and make decisions.
If you are interested in downloading a free copy of the LCA Calculator, email Baha at lca-tool@zgf.com.
We hope to see you on the webinar! Thank you,
