Should meters by themselves hold data for 36 months?

To be clear, even though the reference guide states "The system must be capable of storing all meter data for at least 36 months", does that mean the energy meters should have capability or does that fall under the responsibility of the BMS.  My electrical engineer provided cutsheets of the meters but when I look at the storage time, the most the meters can hold it for is 90 days.  Would that still ok with LEED if the BMS can store the data for the minimum 36 months?

Hi Edgar,  Our LEED Coach confirmed that cloud-based storage is acceptable.

I would assume yes. But might be worth clarifying with your LEED Coach if you're unsure.

The LEED Reference Guide clearly states: "The system must be capable of storing all meter data for at least 36 months." System can be either cloud base, BAS or BMS system. Provide a narrative or note under special circumstances to confirm how the data is stored for 36 months. That should be enough!
