Our team is working on a CNG bus station renovation project for COTA (Central Ohio Transit Authority). We are renovating portions of the building that include the bus garage, bus maintenance area, and a fare receiving room. The construction has been planned in 4 phases to ensure the facility will remain operational 24x7, 7 days a week and transportation services to the central Ohio are are not hindered.
EQ credit 4 – “Indoor Air Quality Assessment” requires performing a building flush-out after delivery of a minimum of 3500 cubic feet before occupancy. We have two questions regarding achieving that credit.
1. Does the flush-out need to be performed in the whole building including parts of the administration block that are not being renovated?
2. Since the bus garage is low occupancy (8 workers a day working in shifts), is it possible to continue with the pre-occupancy flush-out, as these workers remain in the building, and still achieve the EQ credit?
Thanks in advance.
