Open-grid pavement - does it contribute to SSc7.2?

Hello,

I would like to kindly ask, if the open-grid pavement contributes to Heat Island Effect - Roof. Can I include  "holes" in open-grid concrete tiles into vegetated roof area calculation? Does anyone have experience with this problem?

Just to be clear, the open grid paving is in a roof application on your project? Typically open grid paving would be associated with heat island effect non-roof in the v2009 rating system as part of site hardscape.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, it is part of a roof - designed for roof maintaining. I struggle a bit with the calculation - at first, I thought that I can deduct from the total roof surface attics area - but I am not sure about it, too (and probably attica is not considered as a roof appurtenance).
