NC-v4 WEc1:Outdoor water use reduction

Reclaimed water from off-site

Hello.

Our project is in a very dry area, with very little rain. The design team has already chosen plant species with very low water needs (over 40% reduction) but, to supply with the minimum irrigation necessary for plant survival, our team wants to use reclaimed water.

Reclaiming rainwater is not an option, since there are many months a year when there is near to zero rain.

Reclaiming water from restrooms (faucets, showers) is legally very limited and the building (an office building) has no cooling towers or other equipment that will generate process water.

We would like to pursue an alternative strategy, purchasing water from a nearby municipal water processing plant. Would this strategy satisfy this credit, as reclaimed water, to reduce potable water consumption to zero (100 % reduction)?

Thank you for your help.
