Does having an apiary on our campus count towards the amount of area reserved onsite for food production?

Great question! I think the requirements were designed with plants in mind. But if you harvest the honey, there may be a compelling case to be made (particularly since it's a pilot credit). My recommendationis to discuss your project directly with USGBC/GBCI.
