We note that VOC emissions evaluation requirements have updated the version of CDPH Standard Method (from v1.1 to v1.2). Can we still rely on 3rd party certificates such as UL Greenguard GOLD, FloorScore or SCS Indoor Advantage Gold to demonstrate compliance?

Likewise, is anyone aware of European labels, such as Indoor Air Comfort GOLD or Blue Angel, being updated to reference EN 16516:2017 testing methods?

Hi Pablo, We are being told by our LEED coach that v1.1 2010 certifications will still be accepted as documentation under the v4.1 Low Emitting credit at least through the BETA period.

SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certificates specifically reference CDPH/EHLB Standard Method (CA 01350) v1.2-2017, if the product(s) has passed the emissions test. To find product IAQ certificates issued by SCS you can use the Green Products Guide - https://www.scsglobalservices.com/certified-green-products-guide

Hi Megan, 1) The "List of certifications and programs" was published on October 10, 2019 so is 4 years old and may need to be updated with the latest info and equivalencies. 2) Second there seem to be labels like Emicode EC1 or French VOC emissions A+ (and many more) that do not appear on the appear October 10, 2019 version that were on the July 30, 2019 version. Do we know if they are still approved? Thanks,Ian

Hi Ian, Sorry, I see now that Paula provided an older link. The October 10, 2019 version is the most up to date version as far as I know. I always go to this page for the most up to date list: https://www.usgbc.org/resources/cdph-list-certifications-use-cdph-standard-method-v12. Unfortunately I do not know why they have not updated the list since then or why some things were on the July list and not on the October list. I recommend reaching out to the USGBC directly to ask. Good luck!

standards for products outside the U.S. now go through regional compliance pathways. This is listed within the most current v4.1 reference guide; within the International Tips section of the LEM credit it lists the programs that have been identified to meet the LEM credit requirements for international projects.

Hi Pablo, EN 16516:2017 testing methods are the globally accepted basis for all European labels, such as Indoor Air Comfort GOLD, EMICODE or Blue Angel. Testing is harmonised across Europe, only the limit values are different.
