Pilot-Credits IPpc100:Passive Survivability and Back-up Power During Disruptions

Option 2: Provide Backup Power for critical loads (1 point) - Back-Up Power Time Duration Table 1.

Back-up power time duration table 1 divides facilities in three categories:

1. Baseline facilities, 2. Fundamental community service organizations, and  3. Solar and wind electric back-up power systems with energy storage

What category does an office falls in? Fundamental community service organization?

Hi Max, I received a response from USGBC stating the following: Yes, I would agree that an office would most closely align with the Fundamental
Community Service Organizations, requiring "Four (4) Consecutive days, eight (8)
hours each day during daylight hours for general operations. Refrigeration and
freezers, four (4) consecutive days, 24 hours per day". Please note, however, that
the requirements of the credit indicate that the team should, "Meet the below
requirements or meet requirements of local code, whichever is more stringent". I hope this helps!
