Hi, we have a square atrium in the middle of the building. The floor of the atrium is 30 meters below the level of the roof of the building but it should be classified as a roof construction because there are two more floors under this level. There is almost no direct sunlight on the floor of the atrium due to the shape of the building. Is it possible to classify the all-year shaded area of this structure as compliant in terms of SSc5?

Hi Frantisek,
Checking in on this older post...did you get clarification for your project?
I would think that counting buildings, themselves, would not be allowed - but maybe in this case, if the project could supply solar studies or similar data to show that the design meets the intent, then maybe...?
There was a very similar post on the NC forum, though it similarly has not yet been resolved: https://leeduser.buildinggreen.com/forum/heat-island-reduction-provided-...
