Hi,
I'm working on the VA-Fresno Mental Health Center Expansion. In our preliminary scorecard, we felt this project location was favorable for the pursuit of LT Credit Access to Quality Transit. There are two different bus stops within a ¼-mile (400-meter) walking distance. However, somehow I don't think we'll be able to earn any points due to the Minimum daily transit service threshold. We have two different stops with the following qualities:
Stop 1 [Route 32] - 30 trips per weekday (northbound) and 32 trips per weekday (southbound) + 25 trips per weekend day (each direction)
Stop 2 [Route 39] - 30 trips per weekday (eastbound) and 30 trips per weekday (westbound) + 23 trips per weekend day (each direction)
Stop 3 [Route 17] - 10 Weekday trips to regional locations
I guess I thought we might have a shot at this credit being that we are in the heart of Fresno, CA doing hospital work with two bus stops with trips every 30 minutes - but it appears we don't even come close to the lowest threshold of 72 trips per weekday and 40 trips per weekend day. Do you find this to be the case?
Are there any exceptions that can be made for the size of the city and when the building is occupied and activated (Mon-Fri, 8a-6p)?

You might be closer than you think! The 72 trips per weekday and 40 per weekend are the sum total of trips available on all the bus lines in one direction. For weekday trips, add the trips in one direction for routes 32, 39 and 17 (FWIW, it looks like KART route #17 has 13 or 14 trips per day).
For weekend service, add the number of trips in one direction for routes 32 and 39.
Exceptions are extremely rare...
