I am working on a new construction for Healthcare facility as MEP Subcontractor which will apply for LEED Gold. I have an issue with the primer and top coat for Fire Fighting Pipes (Carbon Steel Pipes for Sprinkler System). My client is asking to follow SCAQMD Rule 1113 February 05, 2016 where Rust Preventive coating is asking for 100 gr/lt. When I search several discussions with this subject on internet, from my understanding I have to follow Green Seal Standard GC-03 Anti-Corrosive Paints or California Air Resources Board (ARB) Suggested Control Measure for Architectural Coatings. Both of these documents refer for 250gr./lt.
Please can you advise which one do I have to follow and with which reason?
