CS-2009 SSc7.2:Heat Island Effect—Roof

Perforated panel above roof

Hello everyone,

We are working on a project that has most of the roof space (about 90%) covered with perforated panel. It is about 3-4 m above the roof. And as I understood from the reference guide there are no SRI requirements for this panel (correct me if I'm wrong). But does roof under this panel have to meet SRI requirements? Or maybe I should exclude that area from calculations and only other 10% of the roof space must meet 75% requirement?

Thank you in advance!

I would consider that perforated panel to be the roof material for the purposes of this credit. If the panel is over a roof that is directly covering project GSF, that material would be the top layer of your roof area, exposed to sky, and would be a contributing factor to heat island.
