Operational policies and plans can no longer be pursued as standalone credits. Instead, LEED v4 introduced a new Innovation credit called the LEED O+M Starter Kit. Teams must pursue two of the five EBOM v4 policies/plans listed below order to earn one Innovation point. A second Innovation point can be achieved by documenting an additional two policies/plans.
- SSp1 Site Management Policy
- MRp1 Ongoing Purchasing and Waste Policy
- MRp2 Facility Maintenance and Renovations Policy
- EQp3 Green Cleaning Policy - (Option 1 only)
- EQc9 Integrated Pest Management
Check out the LEED O+M Starter Kit language for additional information and details, particularly for Core & Shell projects.
Question

What happened to all of the operational policies and plans that we could pursue for Innovation credit under LEED v2009 (i.e., green cleaning policy / sustainable purchasing policy / solid waste management policy / integrated pest management, erosion control, and landscape management plan / building exterior and hardscape management plan)?
