For a new construction project v2009, is there a requirement for the glass tint to attain IEQc8.2 credit? We all know that if a regularly occupied space has a quality view it can achieve the said credit. How about if the tint of the glass is darker, let's say an occupant can see views outside but may vary on the color/shade versus on a clear glass as it has a darker shade, is it acceptable?can we achieve the credit?

The darker tint/color would be acceptable. Depending on what you submit in the review, they may not even question it unless a rendering or elevation indicates something other than clear glass. Not sure how dark of a tint you are using or color, but there could be a point with the tint that the reflection of the interior space could over whelm the exterior view. But for LEED, as long as its not fritted, frosted, or translucent, it is accepted.

The project will use a glass (4 different tint) and good enough for the occupants to see a clearer outside view on behalf of dark or light tint it has. It is not also fritted, frosted or transluscent. Thank you so much for your response.
