We have a project that wants to use GE SCS1000 Silicone, but the test method for this product is WPSTM C1454 (V: 20 g/L). Would this product still meet the General Emissions and VOC limits? Our understanding is that the VOC test method for all adhesives and sealants must be SCAQMD 1168 and the product must comply with CDPH Method v1.1-2010 (General emissions requirement).

Hi Marina, That WPSTM test method should be fine for the VOC content measurement (see previous discussion about this on LEEDuser), but the sealant also has to meet the General Emissions Evaluation, which requires testing consistent with the CDPH method, as you suggest.
