If remediation has occurred on the site in the past, outside of the LEED project scope, would it achieve this credit?

Newly Established Opportunity Zones

Does anyone know if the new Opportunity Zones established by the  U.S. Department of the Treasury, which certifies economically-distressed communities, would fall under Option 2?

Ooh, good time for a check-in. Yes, they said it qualifies, and I have since used it in a few projects. Website I use: http://eig.org/opportunityzones/facts-and-figures
