Exceedance of 30% Cost Restriction for Structure & Enclosure materials

According to reference guide correction #100002183, the limiting of structure and enclosure materials for the BPDO credits can be increased above the 30% if the project contains "significant amounts of structure and enclosure materials". What constitutes "significant" that would make a project eligible for this? And according to the Alternative Structure and Enclosure limit calculation, it looks like eligible projects have no limit at all. Does this mean that such projects can apply virtually any percent limit as long as it follows the equation?

Also, there doesn't seem to be any mechanism in the BPDO calculator to account for a changed limit. How should this be integrated into the calculations?

Hi Gray, I don't think the term "significant" is critical here--if you can document that your project's ratio of structure/enclosure to other materials is higher than 30%, you can go with your own number. As long as it's reasonable and well-documented, I don't believe that there is a limit.  I'm afraid that I don't know what's up with the calculator, though--anyone else have info on that?
