Messaging on "paywall" screens

Now that Ben has set up access restrictions, we have to decide what message to put on "paywall" screens. For example, on the Best Practices pages, the "Official language" tab is fully accessible, but if an anonymous user clicks on any of the other tabs they'll hit a login wall:

(I haven't added any messaging there yet... it just says "Login wall" and has a Salesforce login link.)

What do you want to say on these screens? Should we simply refer people back to bitbuilding.org (which I assume will be the Salesforce site) and ask them to either log in or register their project?

Furthermore, are you restricting BIT User access only to certain tiers of Salesforce-registered users? Do they have to have an active project, or do they just need to be registered on your site to have full SSO access to BIT User?

I don't necessarily need the answer to that last set of questions... I really just need to know what to say on our paywall/loginwall screens.

I noticed the forum link is active on the official language page- that should produce a login wall for unregistered users. The forum link on the official language page (and in the main navigation menu) goes to the main forum page (no paywall). However, if you click on an individual forum post you'll hit a login wall. The idea was that users could see the breadth of forum discussions (as a teaser) but then they'd have to sign up to see them. Are you still on board with that, or should we prevent anonymous users from seeing the forum entirely?

That sounds right on track. Thanks for explaining to me (again)! M. Shane Totten, AIA, LEED AP BD+C Director, Research + Incubation Interim Director, Education + Training office: 404.604.3588
