One of our clients is considering the possibility of certifying a new airport terminal using LEED and asked us to perform a preliminary evaluation of the potential LEED score.
In order to evaluate compliance potential with some of the credits (e.g., Restore and Protect Open Space, Open Space Activation, etc.) we need to know if we can exclude the runways from LEED Certification border. Runways represent an huge area and if we need to include them we will lose several points, mainly related with Sustainable Sites, decreasing the certification potential.
Can you please help us with this question ?
