Good afternoon,
I’m part of a team working on a LEED v4 Core & Shell project. While working through the project, a tenant has now come on board and they have fitted out the tenant areas including the final lighting design. Do we model the lighting design as per the final tenant lighting drawings, or, because this is a C&S project can we only claim savings through a tenant lease agreement? The same question would also apply to the tenant HVAC design.
Thanks in advance,
Michael

You can model the tenant spaces with a complete design, as designed.

Hi Marcus,
Thank you for your swift response. I just want to clarify one thing. If we claim savings on the tenant lighting system from the tenant fit out drawings, is it a mandatory requirement that we must also model the tenant HVAC system? i.e. we cannot choose to claim savings for the tenant lighting and "ignore" the HVAC system by setting the efficiencies equal to the ASHRAE baseline? The reason I ask is because there is a separate M&E design team for the tenant and we have not received the HVAC drawings yet and we are under pressure to submit for certification.
Thanks,
Michael.

You should be able to just claim the lighting savings and make the HVAC system identical.
