NC-2009 MRc2:Construction Waste Management

Private Entity Recieving Asphault Waste

Hi,

Our contractor found a local resident to receive and recycle the crushed asphalt. He plans on using the broken asphalt for future projects on his property. We have a letter from the owner confirming this and the Cubic Yards of material received. Is this acceptable for recycled construction waste management? What other documentation should we get from the contractor and property owner regarding this.

Thanks,

Brian - Typically you need documentation backing up where the material was diverted and the quantity. You said you have a letter from the Owner about this. In this unique situation where the recipient is not a business, my preference would be to have a letter from the resident who is receiving and reusing the asphalt. In addition, I would want a letter/documentation from the contractor to confirm the material was picked up by/delivered to this resident and to backup the quantity delivered/picked up.
