CS-v4 EQp1:Minimum indoor air quality performance

Filling the Minimum Performance Calculator for PAU-AHUs

Hi all, I am working on a Core and Shell project. A Primary Air Handling (PAU) supplies 100% outdoor air to AHUs. Each AHU serves supply air (outdoor air + return air) for a floor included an Office room and its corridor.

  1. Can I fill this system in “Simple zone” tab?
  2. If I fill each AHU in a “Multiple zone” tab, which values should I input in the “Zone Outdoor Airflow Provided” column of “100% Outdoor air” tab (PAU) ? Because each “Multiple zone” tab have the “Outdoor air intake flow provided”, it will duplicate values in Summary tab.

Thanks

You should use the multiple zone for each AHU and input the conditioned OA the same way that you would if it were unconditioned. ASHRAE is not concerned with whether or not the air is conditioned, just the method of delivering the air to the space.
