NAUF for temporary wood counted in MRC7

Hi Ilana, Wow--I'm surprised no one has asked this before! I think that people have generally assumed that temporary materials are not included in the requirement. Given the nature of this credit--it's all or nothing--USGBC would have to be pretty explicit that they ARE included if they were going to hold you to that. But since I don't have direct experience with it, I polled a few other LEED veterans, they all agreed that it's not something they would include. So I'd say that you're pretty safe here. Nadav

per LEED credit from their website: " Requirements Composite wood and agrifiber products used on the interior of the building (i.e., inside the weatherproofing system) must contain no added urea-formaldehyde resins. Laminating adhesives used to fabricate on-site and shop-applied composite wood and agrifiber assemblies must not contain added urea-formaldehyde resins. Composite wood and agrifiber products are defined as particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), plywood, wheatboard, strawboard, panel substrates and door cores. Materials considered fixtures, furniture and equipment (FF&E) are not considered base building elements and are not included." thus temporary (not permanenet) base bldg elements do not fall under the scope of this credit, nor can they contribute to MR credits.
