Bike rack storage for cruise terminal

Our client would like to pursue this credit for a cruise terminal project. Has anyone ever tried to pursue this for this type of building and if so, which occupant value have you used in order to calculate spaces for visitors? It does not seem appropriate to use the assumed count of cruise passengers as the visitors count. Would it be safe to use the default of 4 bike racks for this situation? Thank you in advance for any advice provided!

Hi Heather, There's a lot of precedent for hotel projects, so I'd treat this similarly. Passengers, like hotel guests, wouldn't need to be counted. But before you default to the minimum, think about any non-passenger visitors - office visitors, any event/meeting space users, customers if there's foodservice open to the public...probably none of those would actually push this type of project over the 4 rack minimum, but it's better to be confident in your potential cyclist visitor count than just assume zero.
