mindful Materials -- contractor working group participation request

Lauren Shumaker (Turner Construction) and I are starting a group to focus on improving the submittal process, currently focused specifically on healthy & sustainable materials and the use of the mindful Materials library. The purpose of this working group would be to align project management and LEED project software (ex: Procore, CMiC, and Green Badger) to reference the mindful Material database. In addition this group would work upstream, with manufacturers, and downstream, with subcontractors, to ask for participation in putting documents in the Mindful materials library and in sourcing submittals from the Mindful materials library.

We’re looking to round out this group with another 4 to 6 people. Please let Lauren and I know if you’re interested, by responding to this post.

You can further explore mindful Materials at: http://www.mindfulmaterials.com/

Thanks!

Jenn, Count me in! We are diving into this ourselves here at Pepper. I was on the Chicago mM team creating the standardized label for designer library labels. I am interested. We are actually using Green Badger for a couple of projects and have been trying to streamline the process in Hensel Phelps for sometime now. -Vandita

Hi Jenn, I'm super interested too! We have used Google's Portico and are about to start using the R2G tool for an LBC Petal project. Thanks!

It would be great to get one database where all this good product information is stored. In the past BCCI used Green Wizard, which is no longer in existence. We have also used Portico, but found it less useful as anyone has the authority to enter products into the library. Did anyone catch the UL Spot webinar today? I think this might be a good tool to look into, looks similar to Green Badger etc. I am interested in being involved in the conversation.    -Kena

I'm definitely interested!  we used to use Green Wizard before it went away and haven't found a good substitute.
