NC-v4 SSc4:Rainwater management

Rainwater management for large industrial site

Hello - We have a large industrial site that is using a pond to manage about 25% of the rainwater and a vegetated channel to manage about 75% of the rainwater.  I believe the vegetated channel meets the definition of an LID practices.  But, the reviewer questioned the pond, although pond is not really a traditional detention pond.  The pond does infiltrate the water, has some vegetation, and maintains 100% of the rainwater onsite.  In my opinion, this meets the spirit and intent of the credit.

Has anyone else had success in achieving this credit on a large site?

GI/LID treats runoff at the source, typically focusing on multiple smaller drainage areas as opposed to one large drainage area where runoff is carried away from the source to one larger BMP. It does not appear that your project is using GI, and you wouldn't be the first project denied this credit trying this approach.
