NC-2009 EAp2: Minimum Energy Performance
Dear All,
I am working on a core and shell project, while I have been modeling the fenestration assembly U value as 1.2 according to table 5.5.1 in eQUEST software but sim file indicates that the average fenestration assembly U value is 0.955. Please suggest your feed back pertaining this deviation.

A portion of our building envelope is historic. Can we exclude it from our model?

It probably has to do with the modeling of the frames. As I recall you can model the windows with and assembly U-value or you can model the frames and glazing separately.

Thank you Marcus for your reply, If I am going to model the frames and glazing separately, what U-Value can we select for glaze.

You have to find a value that when combined with the frames you model will produce the whole assembly value you seek.
