Pilot-Credits MRpc53:Responsible sourcing of raw materials

fallen trees

Not sure in which sub-heading this belongs...I have trees which fell in the last storm. The local woodmill suggests that they be cut to 8' lengths and then milled into boards for future use. The mill owner suggested that using this felled timber would result in some sort of LEED/tax credit.  Any ideas? i am the homeowner my plan is to cut and burn it.

Thanks for any advice and help.

Hi Ken, I don't think that there is any tax credit for this, but if you're designing/building a building and want to get it LEED certified, wood from sources like that can count toward the salvaged materials point.
