Healthcare-v4 EQc8:Quality Views

Burn Units and Critical care count towards views

Developing a hospital and we are trying to assess if we can get this credit or not.

We are on the close but we have rooms dedicated to Burn victums who would not be getting direct access to views. Would these spaces need to be included in the occupaied space calculations? Or do the Burn unit rooms need to be included in the inpatient units?

Hi Tarik, LEED isn't as specific as to exactly which types of treatment spaces require views, but generally speaking they take a pretty hard line on excluding any space from this requirement. So I think it would be risky to exclude these spaces from your calculations. If you want to find out for sure, you might have to submit a formal query. Nadav
