Getting others involved

For my first test post I'm going to be completely boring and ask about logistics.

If we know of someone that should be part of this forum, how do we invite them? There were a couple of people that I thought were on the Wiggio who I recently found out were not. There may also be folks from our regional groups who may not have been part of the wiggio and may want to be in this forum.

On a related note, is there any plan to have regional forums? How do the regional leaders feel about this? I know it can get a little crazy trying to make sure that we are all emailing the right people.

Carolyn, I'll defer to BG about inviting new members for the two different forums.  Regarding the regional networks, Chris Hellstern and I set up an (interim?) Google Group to manage email addresses, and track posts in a similar way.  We have a separate shared Google Drive folder to exchange example PDFs and track notes from our bi-monthly conference calls.  We started in February 2017 and have had some good success: comparing regulations and incentives from different states; sharing advocacy techniques; and even sharing a couple 5-minute presentations.  Pending how it works, and how much BG can handle, it could be very nice to merge our Cascadia region into this new platform.  But we'll wait to hear more about that, I expect after these first two groups are setup and running smoothy.  Ultimately, I'll follow BG's lead on how comfortable they are hosting these.  THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HOSTING!!

For the northeast region we have a shared Drive with a spreadsheet of that i keep current with NE members' contact info. Might be nice to have it all in one place so that no one is left of the list when people send an email or if someone asked to be removed they aren't still copied if someone replies to an older email chain.

Hi folks, Like Stephen said--if it seems valuable we're happy to talk about adding regional groups, etc.--AFTER this migration from Wiggio settles down!  Carolyn (and others), please share names and emails of people you think should be invited to Jerelyn (jerelyn@BuildingGreen.com) and copy their Regional Leader so they can keep track of people in their area.
